Paradox Green

A Poem

By Morgan McgareyPublished 7 years ago 1 min read

I don’t suppose trees are green

Trees are purple

Yellow

Blue even

But not green

Green trees would be too normal

Not normal

(you see it doesn’t exist)

Simply drab

Green trees

(How strange it seems to breathe among them)

Of course green represents life

But what is green?

What is purple?

(are colors real?)

Yellow seems to just be a concept

(is this room real?)

But green

Green is a grotesque mix

Blue is sad of course

And yellow is happy

You can't have sad and happy

(green is a paradox)

If you can't have sad and happy what am i

(am i real?)

Who can breathe the sweet air that comes from a sprouting tree?

(I cannot)

He is unworthy

(none of us are)
