Say It Again

You insisted I try my hand at bowling

I wasn't cut out for that

but you had the greatest time

laughing at my repeated gutter balls

*

I asked you to waterski with me

you weren't cut out for that

but I had the greatest time

laughing at you repeatedly swallowing water

*

We settled on a movie night but...

we couldn't agree on anything to watch

you wanted war and I, comedy

we weren't cut out for that

*

Turns out, we have little in common

other than attraction

and fun times in bed

maybe that's all we're cut out for

*

I've concluded that

we're incompatible

you're a G. I. Joe and I'm a paper doll

I'm cutting myself out of this.
