Painting Alive
It was surely more than a mere variation of art.
A captivating painting with a view so rare,
It seemed to move and alive it became.
The colors dancing and the shapes they flared,
The motion and emotion, it seemed forever the same.
The figures looked like they could reach out and touch,
The scenes unfolding, with vivid grace.
The brush strokes strong, like a master's clutch,
As it amplified the scene, an audience it had to face.
The painting began to breathe, I could feel its life,
As it evoked a thrilling tension of awe.
The art alive, time it seemed to strife,
Engrossing the world in its wonder, without a single law.
The painting alive, I was awestruck beneath,
It was surely more than a mere variation of art.
As I observed it I felt a real life beneath,
In this magical painting its beauty would never depart.
