A thousand words for each picture

The author paints with literature

Though to be properly literary

One must bypass any primary

Shades and hues

/ Shifting views /

An Australien sun rises

Bastard-amber beams down

Drake's-neck on mallard lit like

Flame-of-burnt-brandy

Fluctuating between

Gingerline & Incarnadine

Lusty-gallant cherry blossoms bloom

Neath a Nattier canvas by noon

Pervenche in the peaks of perfection

Sinoper rays later that day illuminate

Verditer leaves everywhere; sky pales to

Watchet while we watch it—then softens

Zaffre as the moon sets at azimuth...
