Pain real pain that won’t ease

I know pain, real pain,

like toothache,

it won’t go away,

like arthritis,

digging in, locking tight,

stealing more of me each day.

It doesn’t ease, doesn’t break,

just sits there, gnawing,

waiting for nothing,

answering to no one.

No cure, no peace,

only the slow grind

of something I can’t escape.

Why me god? Why me ?

I cry, I sob. Help me please.

Can’t walk it in my feet.

It’s in both of my knees.

Tomorrow maybe someone will.
