Pain

Is a lot Like the ocean

It’s scary and frightening

Confusing and unpredictable for those inexperienced

Mighty and vast, it can sometimes feel never ending

Infinite

When will I reach the rocky bottoms?

It comes and goes in waves

Sometimes the waves are small

U barely notice them licking your toes as you walk your path

One foot still stepping in front of the other

The waves that lick you, make no difference because

On you carry forward anyway

but sometimes the waves are fierce

They catch u by surprise and knock you off your feet

It can take your breath away

Pain is

transformative

It can create new landscapes in the body

New pathways in the brain

Pain can move mountains

A lot like the ocean

Pain can move the tectonic plates that are your muscles

Your bones

Ligaments and tendons

To make way for new life to emerge

Pain teaches lessons

Pain brings wisdom

It’s reflective in nature

A lot like the ocean

It invites you to get curious about this new sensation

You ask why?

You ask how?

You ask where?

Curious.

Pain speaks messages from the little universe inside of you

Pain is a lot like the ocean

Pain is to be respected

Pain is to be heeded

Pain will destroy old patterns

Obliterate useless pathways

Best not to try and fight or resist it

because it wants to teach you malleability

Break away from rigidity

Flow

Like the ocean

Pain can fortify you

Tone your listening skills

Teaches you the gift of presence

If you can survive it

If you can surrender

If you can accept it

Pain can transform you, expand you like nothing else in this world

Except when you resist it

Pain can make you feel small, tight, tense, afraid

It will pulverize you

If you let it.

a lot like the ocean

Imagine floating in its vastness

You suddenly feel small

Like nothing matters at all

Imagine feeling nothing but pain for so long

Eventually nothing matters at all

Pain has a purpose

And so does the ocean

Pain is inevitable in order to grow

The ocean must be crossed

In order for worlds to expand and flow

Pain is a lot like

The ocean

Deep sentiments well spoken! Ocean must be crossed but is very deep!
