In the shadowed halls of opulence and might,

Roderick Usher, in his quest for endless night.

A pact with the mysterious, the devil's embrace,

Two choices presented, sealing his bloodline's grace.

"Untouchable wealth, no bounds to fear,

But the cost is steep, whispered in the ear.

Generations will crumble, like leaves in the fall,

When your heart falters, the Reaper shall call."

In youth's folly, they chose the gilded path,

Wealth flowing like a river in a devil's bath.

Sister's influence, ambition's sweet deceit,

Legacy for sale, in a pact replete.

Children scattered, born of different kin,

A twisted empire built on a pact's dark whim.

Seven heirs, pawns in a devil's play,

As the house of Usher began to decay.

Heart sick and ailing, Roderick in vain,

Sought a cure to escape the impending pain.

Yet the devil's gift, a venomous grace,

Crept through the lineage, a cursed chase.

Children fell, like leaves in the gale,

Each death echoing the devil's dark tale.

Mysterious Verna, the angel of death,

Witness to each dying breath.

Denial clung to Usher and his kin,

As the devil's due collected, a harvest of sin.

Crimson threads weaving a tragic fate,

Empire crumbled, sealing their dark estate.

In the graveyard's embrace, they lie side by side,

Usher, his kin, in a devil's cold pride.

No free gifts from the devil's hand,

Only despair in the fallen house they planned.

As the raven watches from shadows near,

The toll of the pact, crystal clear.

No riches can shield from the devil's cost,

In the fall of the house, all is lost.
