Overflowing
A Complicated Mind

We've gone way past the brink of full
Overflowing with emotion,
But at a loss for words
The path would be clear
If not for the flood of triggers.
-
There isn't room in our room
There isn't space in the space
And the bucket keeps overflowing
Seeping into our happiness
And dampening it.
-
The silence isn't quiet
Even with all the words unsaid
It's drowning us in the deep
And washing away our joy
With every drop that spills over the edge.
-
How do we bail ourselves out of this
Can we even find a way
Does it ever stop filling
And let us catch up
Or are we drenched in too much hurt?
