Over Here

Story of loneliness and alcoholism from the perspective of the gray child

By Jae QilinPublished 2 years ago 1 min read

What're you doing over there?

Drinking water, I see

Now this might sting like a bee

don't feel shame

Feed the flame

Come over here and have a beer

just me and my dog

While I may drink like a hog

I'm always looking for a friend

so this is the message I send

Don't feel shame

Feed the flame

Come over here

Drink another beer

A beer with a friend

will clear my conscience

The message I send

is the deliverance

The lonely nights

without any rights

It will bring cheer

if you're here

Being fucked up will take away the pain

and that's fucked up

within the pain

Do you realize what you gain?

A lesson learned, a tale earned
