OUTTASPACE

by Muji

Verse 1:

I love my alone time, but usually end up in a crowded place.

I never plan it, but somehow, I’m outta space.

Feels like I’m walking on the moon,

Gotta find the silver lining when there’s no silver spoon.

I found myself crying, trying not to open wounds,

But those trying times crying made me MUJI.

So I’m never making an excuse,

I’ve been through hell and left the devil shaking in his boots.

I started from the bottom like the roots,

Now I’m on the treetop, chomping on my fruit.

No new friends, no one’s hopping in the group,

Every single branch is kin to the root.

So when we stack paper, it’s green like the leaves —

Proof money does grow on trees.

I PUT IN WORK. INDEED!

And put quite simply, I stopped listening when they mentioned what I couldn’t do.

No — it’s beyond your comprehension what I already knew.

It’s clear you’re not sensing that I’m a different dude,

So pardon me when I mention:

I’m not you.

Hook:

I picked myself off the ground, defied gravity,

Shot for the stars — now I’m in a new galaxy.

And they say the future’s on Mars,

Nah — the future is all ours.

A new planet, where we’re all stars

That shine bright like fire when the sunset,

And he’s a little lighter if you ain’t met my son yet.

Verse 2:

My flow is out of this world — bars on Mars.

You connect with every word, outta-space bars.

When I left the group, I found me — hula hoop —

Just small circles around me.

And who are you? Remind me…

Where I know you from?

And why you got your hand out, acting like I owe you one?

I’ma keep it moving, ‘cause I can’t stay.

They stealing my Plan B’s just to sabotage my Plan A.

Work… work… work.

I’ll be a jerk if I have to —

‘Cause takers will take until they take it all outta you.

I changed. No longer can they use me.

I’m doing my thing — if you’re in the way? Excuse me.

And when I pass, I’m aggressive, sending a message

To the elephant in the room:

I’ll address it.
