Through seas of light to distant shores, I wander far from home
Awe and terror beset my mind, both inspiring dreams
From the black expanse to diamond clusters, I've witnessed beauty anew
colours of swirling, liquid lights I could never describe, the womb of other worlds
Life born, evolving, exploring, dying; all of it so fragile and precious, diversity and difference but all with one goal
reaching deep into the empty void, only to find unfathomable depths
The birth of suns, the death of worlds, I'm watching the universe live and die
More stars than one could ever count and I am lost among them, travelling always, out beyond the world

Nights of claw and shadow
Prologue "There weren’t always dragons in the valley. Up until recently they had been merely of myth or legends; cautionary tales told to scare children out of wandering too far from home lest, they be snatched up and eaten by dragons. Or one to scare adults from meddling with ancient powers far beyond themselves unless they wanted to end up a pile of ashes.
