Our Truth
Might we all speak our truth
In a plethora of ways
Not only by our words
But in every breath every day,
For the world is so wanting
This I’ve no doubt
To have its strong women
To speak their truth out.
It takes but a tiny seed
To have the oak grow,
That’s all it will take to
See the power of truth so
Imagine that tiny seed
Is you my dear friend.
Imagine your impact
There could be no end.
For when you show your truth
It gives another the courage to speak.
Of their own truth
And the footing they seek.
So put on those shoes
Coat or whatever you wear
Knowing it takes but a tiny seed
In the truth that you share,
Step out in great confidence
With a glow in the heart.
And whisper my dear friend
My truth’s doing its part.
