Our Place

A Sanctuary To Call Ours

On Hallowed ground, this place resides,

Crunchy leaves, pumpkin surprise.

Trudging through mists that smell of cinnamon,

Over graveyard hills are many dead citizens.

Beasts that howl at glistening moons,

Every witch sings haunting tunes.

Ride on broomsticks through the night,

Imposing fanged creatures give others a fright.

Shadows find sanctuary within the dark,

As flaming lights let out bright sparks.

Stay inside the rusty gate walls,

As the wind calls out and blocks the dawn.

Never forget the oddest are welcome here,

Clear off bad memories, Fall is very much near.

Time to be spooky, all cozy up tight,

Unearthing monsters, giving all a fright.

Amble on cobbled leafy paths,

Race zombies full of raging wrath.

Yearning for October to open its sanctuary.
