Our Lives written like a Script

Dialogues delivered like honey dripped

The curtains lift and we take a bow,

The life has been lived is it all over now.

Another life in another world,

On the stage, we walk, dance and twirl.

Our lives are written like a script,

Dialogues delivered like honey dripped.

This world is ours on which to perform,

A world of beauty, free to roam.

We take our first bow with great joy,

While our last bow, we do not really enjoy.

The stage is set and we perform our part,

Acting with passion from a beating heart.

The actors play their roles in style,

Stop, watch and enjoy the show a while.

This stage is the platform of our many human lives,

We play the heroes, the sons, the daughters and the wives.

This stage is the scene for the villain and the saint,

To colour our world in coats of bright paint.

We take our first bow with great joy,

While our last bow, we do not really enjoy.

The scenes flow one into another,

As fast as a flowing river to the sea.

As we perform our lives and fulfil our destiny.

The lives we live with joy and poetry,

Are as transient as the waves on an open sea.

We float on the wings of our achievements,

We enjoy all our fleeting amusements.

We know that our time on stage is short,

A life eternal that is not easily bought.

Our lives are complex, yet fully alive,

Like busy buzzing bees in a hive.

We must live our lives in failure and victory,

As we all fulfil our marvellous human destiny.

We take our first bow with great joy,

While our last bow, we do not really enjoy.
