Our

The place we can call our home

By Miguel ClementePublished 5 years ago • 1 min read
Family beach day

Hi mom,

Hi dad,

It was cool

We learned about multiplication tables

And about space

I guess Pluto’s not a planet anymore

And there’s only life here on Earth…

Bummer

I imagined aliens on Mars

With alien kids and alien friends

Someday they’d come here

Or maybe we’d go there

And I’d teach them how we play basketball

Or pitch a baseball and hit it to the stands!

I wonder what they would teach me?

What’s it like on their planet?

What’s it like in their home?

Do they have plants or pets?

How do they sleep on their bed?

Where’s all the water that they drink?

I’d show them the sounds of the waves crashing on our beach!

And we’d listen to the birds sing

And the rustling wind in the trees

A cool breeze on a warm summer day!

Oh, I got excited!

Yeah, well, maybe there’s life in other galaxies

Who knows?

I’m going to go upstairs

To my room

Hi sis,

Hi bro,

What are you guys up to?

Can I play?

Yay!

No!

No fair! You’re cheating!

Mom!

Dad!
