Fear
Trembling, Heart-pounding
Creeping, Deceiving, Escaping
The Reality of Life
Suspense
Breathe in
Breathe out
Nerves permeate me,
Like smoke permeating in the outside air of a restaurant,
Entering my lungs, uninvitingly
Fear
Strapped in tight
Tight as skinny jeans being fitted onto a 300-pound man.
Breath by breath,
Giving my lungs a fight.
Fear
The propellers begin to spiral,
My heart wishing it could jump out of my chest,
Leaving nothing behind but a trail of fear for me to find.
Fear
The engine begins to blast noise through my anxious ears,
My eyes fearfully lurk,
Around to see,
The number of concerns
That bully me.
Fear
I look down
Down to the ground
Down to the ground where gravity exists.
The detailed picture looks more and more unclear.
My heart: falls to the bottom of the ground as I am way up in the sky,
The air suffocates my lungs and blocks the oxygen leading to my brain.
Fear
The sky never looked so blue,
The clouds never looked so embracing,
I have never been so close to God in my entire life.
All those problems,
Are worth nothing to me anymore.
Fear
The sky above me
Death below me
On the count of three,
1, 2, 3,
I Jump.
No Fear.
Here I am,
I have never felt so alive
My stomach stops for a second,
My head is held up high,
My feet feel free,
My heart is happily healed.
I look down again,
I feel no Fear.
Fear has no power over me.
Fear can never break me.
Fear cannot make my decisions.
Fear is the enemy you thought you knew.
But turned out to be the friend that you needed, rather than wanted.
Fear.
