Order of War
What War Orders?
Are we caught up in "War of the Worlds?"
Or is it more like "Wars in our World?"
Everyday, there's something different
Sometimes I just wanna curl
...
Up beneath the blankets
and hide beneath the sheets
Everyone's getting beat
& Battered, Left Hook, shattered gray mater
As segregated communities march to their beat
...
Declaring war and battle
On one another
Families torn asunder
They blunder, stumble and fumble
Father attacks Son, and
Son attacks Brother,
As Daughter and Mother
Slaughter One Another
With Brothers and Sisters
giving one another blisters
As the begot spit out
begotten to spit on begotten
Trauma delt to each other is not forgotten
...
As we no longer hold
What keeps us together
in our households
We try to integrate
As we further segregate
Politically With Ideal Apartheid
More than our skin
More than our kin
They took apart hide,
the skin surface
of our identity
To use for a propensity
For violence, In Riots
We split apart, hide
...
As we further compartmentalize
Cut the box into boxes
Lock locks up with lockes
Forced into a main compartment,
though we belong to many
We want to be together,
but hate when any
Enemy sides with us
Against us
We thrust trust, and force
it onto others
We smother
Demanding to reciprocate
Yet, the sweet wine has turned sour grapes
As friends, like apples rotten, forced not forgotten
The only gift that we get is
ReciproHate
...
Waging war through ideals
Waging war with our feels
Yet, our feelings can block the way
That can show us what's real
...
The truth isn't always morally right
but it is legitimate
People like to cherry pick it to pieces,
the truth's indiscriminate
Medicinal properties can cause growing pains
That challenge our brain
Breaking our world view
Since, our senses can be deceived
In the world that we view
As we want to be right, as show others our sight through
The glasses we wear
The crosses we bear
The truth isn't fair
Pissing us off, before it sets us free
Yet we latch onto the cage
Instead of escaping
Relapsing back to older habits
Further down the hole like a rabbit
Since there's so much to cherry pick
We cheerily stick
With mindsets that drive us apart, and might make us sick
From the brain to the heart
Thinking we're smart
We can't think we're bring us closer
When what we need is some closure
Sure
War can bring about peace as needed
When we need it
Yet, we first need to deal with the inner turmoil of ourselves
To have the plants of peace be seeded
So by taking care of feeding ourselves with a nurturing farm
Instead of seeding thorns others and us, inflicting self and more harm
The truth may arm
Us with information
But we should attain delectation
Through the ability to unite ourselves
even when being judged by the nation
Or the nations
That we live in
and are united
By the ball of dirt
With magma below the surface, water on the surf-
Ace
The Purpose
Is when we have war
Is to settle the dispute
And not refute
That damage's been done
or yet to begun
As we learn what takes its toll
and heal ourselves and others
Damage control
...
In the wars in the world
That bring about new forms of world order
We have to ask ourselves, when we're waging war
"What does it order?"
Realize the disorder
Formed by the creation, and segregation of borders
When we learn of its order
Our priorities we must now reorder
