orange tinted glasses

they’re the ones for me.

By Billy SandraPublished 5 months ago • 1 min read

I could easily go through life wearing blue tinted glasses

Walking amongst the living in silent austerity

Or I could keep wearing the yellow tinted ones

That make the weary world’s glow

Somewhat weaker, to match my exhaustion

That I may palate it, if I could only just

put on my rose tinted glasses for once?

And enjoy the moment without moments beyond me souring it so

Moribund, morose, taciturn

Tik tok sounds and vocal stims

What’s left of a pale imitation of pale skin—paler still

Whitewashed white ways might be what have saved me even til today

Tomorrow, though, I’ll wear orange tinted glasses

Because orange is my favorite.
