Orange is fear,

but not the word phobia.

Orange is hunger,

but not thirst.

Orange is fuel,

but not motivation.

Orange is rust,

but not decay.

Orange is baseball fields,

but not the victory.

Orange is a brief sentiment,

but not a lasting memory.

Orange is the winds of warmth,

but not the fans of fire.

Orange is the old sky,

but not the hue of sunsets.

Orange is the molding of clay,

but not the act of creation.

Orange is fervently close,

but not nearly red enough.

Orange is love for the colorblind,

but it is still fear to me.
