An orange sky attacked
My sleeping eyes.
-
Another day
Starting with a sigh,
-
‘You drift from day to day and
Years go by…
Then,
A change comes.’
-
These frozen bones
Feel so alone
-
Beneath the stretching,
The sheltering, sky
-
Broken bodies asking questions
They can’t help but wonder why
-
‘The bubbling
Bubbling
Bubbling’ pavements
-
Melt beneath the sun
Things just haven’t felt the same since
Their burdens grew by tonnes.
-
Suffering in silence,
Ask for help from
No-one,
-
Those same cycles,
Recognisable now,
There’s no place left to run.
