There's been a misconception,

of who was actually freed.

They said we have come along way,

but it wasn't those

who we perceived.

They uncovered the veil of those,

of who they knowingly knew .

Their shadows underneath,

large enough to hide the truth.

Falsely claiming to empathize,

with the minority and their lives.

They willingly had become exposed,

revealing the many vulnerabilities,

of those they opposed.

They say you no longer need,

to be afraid.

Come forward as you are

they falsely proclaimed.

Only to now slaughter those,

so violently and with no shame.

Today we are no farer ahead,

then those of the days behind once led.
