Open Eyes to an 'Open' World

They try to shut us down- make us go silently,

But wewillnot conform to society.

Will make our voices heard,

Won't let it pass quietly.

March on solemnly as an act of sobriety,

Make this fight public rather than have it stay privately.

We do the same routine tiredly,

Follow out-of-date rules mindlessly.

But the system's failing good people almost entirely,

Benefiting those who've accrued notoriety.

Who's on TV is still the priority,

Rather than giving equality to those in minorities.

Our lives are filled with opportunity,

Ways to give back and better our community.

Yet we all live in fear and that's complete lunacy,

It's time we fight back and achieve our unity.
