only hate is foreign to me

i dispel myths

everywhere i go;

the myth of me

- there is only we

the myth of greed

- please, don’t let it lead

the myth of then

- if not now, then when?

the myth of hate

- choose love, before it’s too late

the myth of foreign

- what planet were you born in?

i may bust your myths,

but do not mean to attack you;

i attack the system

famous for attacking

- homes of “foreigners”

- lives of black folx

- rights of those who never write the rules

we are not free

until every “I” has choice over “me”

over our own bodies,

our own loves,

our own livelihoods.

yes,

you can have your own creed,

unless you make others bleed

only hate is foreign to me

and if it’s mind is blind,

then i’m the one who can’t see

compassion is free,

and worth it, you’ll see.

open the blinds,

come find it,

with me.
