Take a seat for but five minutes' grace.

This poem seeks not to

Envelop you in Darwish's deep trance.

Just five minutes.

This verse intends not to

Pierce your tender, unguarded flesh.

Only five minutes.

So grant me these fleeting moments,

Then vanish from my sight.

I require no more than a matchbox

To ignite a myriad of flames.

For the grandest love tales I've known

Need no more than a spark to thrive.

Do not be sad..

Though astronauts may tread upon the moon,

In my eyes, you will forever remain

The sweetest moon of all.

Love, my darling,

Is a beautiful poem written on the moon.

Love is drawn on every leaf.

Love is engraved upon...

The sparrow’s feathers and the rain's sweet tune.

But any woman in my land,

If she loves a man,

Is stoned with fifty stones too soon.

Because the words of dictionaries, letters, and novels have died,

I seek a new way to love you...

Without words.
