So often I catch myself reaching for the phone, as the sun goes down.
I can't help but wonder how often you might do exactly the same.
Living for a moment, each of us, between our lives past and present.
Each time I catch myself a little less ready to call than the time before,
Never letting it ring; never knowing whether you'd answer or look away.
Considering Schrodinger and the cat, I'd rather not know either way.
Each time I catch myself a little more ready for our silence to stay.
