Engulfed in darkness for just a moment, the world goes quiet
Calm descends on the empty lot
Light surrenders to nights oppressive embrace
I watch the celestial dance,
Pensive, reverent and nearly
Statuesque. As I lie there, one truth becomes clear
Even when covered in shadow, the sun’s light peeks through
