One Thousand Words

but who's counting?

one thousand words

might not be enough

to tell you

how i think

what i feel

one thousand words

wont get

to the

heart

of the matter

one thousand words

lovers whispers

scoundrel lies

breath of the wind

soft summer sighs

one thousand words

wont even come close

when there is so much

left

unsaid

one thousand words

from the mouths of babes

and the throats of madness

encapsulating joy

enhancing sadness

one thousand words

and a laugh between sips

vicarious anecdotes

fall from life hardened lips

three,

could do the trick

but only

if that trick

is

to keep

this piece alive

but only

if that trick

is

just a trick

a play on those words

a slip of the pen

[two shorts stories]

(two)

[five micro fictions]

(five)

[ten poems]

([ten poems])

{([ten poems!])}

(TEN – let it echo)

one thousand words

weaving magic telling tales

one thousand words

scripted or ad-libbed

one thousand words

painting

punctuated

pictures

one thousand words

insinuated

indifferent

illusions

one thousand words

whimsical

whispered

wailing

one thousand words

antagonistic

alienated

alliterations

one thousand words

might be too many

one thousand words

will never be enough

one thousand words

all striving to be heard

one thousand words

and then

silence

.

This made me think, have you seen Heather's challenge? It's about words and I think you'd like it! Loved your poem!

Bit what about miles? Would you walk 1000 miles? 😏 Sorry, I had to. really enjoyed this, Brenton. Always look forward to seeing what you come up with
