One-Star Review

(of being alive—verified purchase) ★☆☆☆☆

By Aarsh MalikPublished 2 months ago • 1 min read

I want to start by saying I had high expectations. The packaging (birth, sunrise, a mother's face) promised so much more than what arrived.

Pros:
— Coffee, in the mornings it works
— The way dogs run toward you like you're the whole plot
— Rain on tin roofs, no notes, perfect, five stars on this feature alone
— Someone, once, said my name like it was a good thing to have in their mouth

Cons:
— Everyone I love is on a timer and no one will tell me how much time is left
— I ordered "meaning." The tracking information says: Out for delivery.
— The customer service (therapy? my father? the universe's help desk?) has not responded to several complaints
— I was promised I'd "figure it out by 25." I am not 25. I have not figured it out.
— Grief does not honor the return policy. I have tried.

Would I recommend this product to a friend?

Yes.

Even the cons. Especially the cons—they're the only proof I was really here, that I wasn't returned unopened, that I unwrapped the whole ugly thing and used it until it broke a little, the way you're supposed to use something you actually loved.

★☆☆☆☆ — but I'd buy it again. I'd buy it twice.
