Catch Yourself in The Night.

Catch yourself in the night

Between bright burning stars

And dark damp soil

Somewhere between dusk and dawn

Catch yourself in the night

Find Gabe walking in moonlight

Wading through watercolour lakes

Dyed deep black in the eve

He’ll give you voice

To sing subtle and serious songs

To be more than a man

But hold fast before you rise

Find Ash in his crown

Running through valleys and

Cursing at the sun before He wakes

He’ll give you nights at dives

With his gang of joyous fools

Playing fast and playing for keeps

But hold fast before you fall

I’ve seen people spend their lives - blind

In this land between the sky and the sea

Desperate to be something more

Or desperate to be more than free

Cleansing themselves in ornate baths

Or turning away at the smallest light

Rolling gleefully into the mud

As for myself - well

I’ve spent nights praying in quiet solitude

I’ve spent nights screaming into neon lights

And I have stared at the stars and knelt

With my body caked in dirt

I’ve seen both Gabe and Ash

And found both to be wanting

Catch yourself in the night

Between peace and chaos

Be fully man.
