One more parade proceeded across my spirit
There were intense colours and too many hollers
Will it ever change, this need to war demerit
Based on intolerance of any bright dollars
New hypocrites enlisted in the procession
Against the live-and-let-live compromising flag
Resulting in a smorgasbord of aggression
Turning every word and lyric into a gag
A right that is uprooted cannot be a right
Did we presume too much in thinking we were home
Is it going to rain over the rainbow's flight
Are we building a coliseum à la Rome
The more we change, the more it seems to be the same
What is missing is a general sense of shame

I agree with the message! "The more we change, the more it seems to be the same" Good job for pointing it out, Patrick!
