One Is Greater than Zero

One is greater than zero; do you not agree?

So, if one is greater than zero, then why is it that we,

Prize days that end in zero, like twenty or thirty,

And celebrate these milestones, ever more prominently?

One is greater than zero, and I'll explain humbly,

Why one is greater than zero, if at least not equally.

One is a companion, with whom to toast green tea.

To speak about the day and all the things that gave us glee.

One is a near shoulder, where my head becomes carefree,

A place to cry and soak my tears, wept of fear or joyfully.

One is a new adventure that we travel just to see,

A moment in time, a place on the Earth, the knowing we are free.

One is a wild daydream, that we share by the sea,

A dream of better days and gratitude; of just how things could be.

One is at the top, they're the king or queen bee,

It comes before them all, its name in the marquee.

One is a good number, a prime it was decreed,

The first in every counter, see here: one, two, three.

One can be divided, and it shares itself freely.

Every piece that's given out, belongs to one's family.

One is very special,

So I offer this, toll-free:

There is no greater one, my friend, than the one that I call thee.
