One Drop Left

A memory sealed in dust and silence.

By Billys Zafeiridis Published about a year ago • 1 min read
An old, dusty box in a dimly lit room

I found it in the old box.

Forgotten.

Rusty cap.

Smelled like old rain.

I opened it.

I shouldn’t have.

But I did.

One drop on my finger.

One taste on my lips.

No flavor.

And yet…

Time bent.

Walls sighed.

Your voice.

Clear.

Alive.

You looked at me.

Like before.

Before you knew you’d leave.

I ran.

Couldn’t reach you.

You were gone.

The light returned.

Silence too.

One drop left.

I didn’t touch it.

Not yet.
