Baby
New life
Tiny, beautiful, dependent
Needing, taking, growing, learning
Tentative steps, finding your way
Maturing, leaving, discovering your own life
~~~Where once you were upon my knee,~~~
Now, independent, venturing on your own
Soon, you will be among
The company of motherhood
Growing within you
New life
Baby
I chose to structure this poem from 1 to 7 words and back to 1.
No, I'm not expecting a new grandchild right now. I became nostalgic looking at photos.
