Once she was a warrior

The jungle would fear her roar

She would stamp her feet and beat her drum always louder than before.

She would break the hearts of so many who tried to steal her away

She would shout "I AM THE WILDEST RIVER, THAT YOU SHALL NEVER TAME" she would stare straight into the tigers eyes without an ounce of fear and dare the beast to strike her down, for which it never came near.

Her skin was a canvas of war scars to show the battles she had won and the deepest lie upon her heart where no one got to run.

One day he made her forgot she was a warrior as her guard was down just a bit, he stripped away all her defences and broke her forest walls down bit by bit, he drained her wild soul river and reduce her to something so small, he smothered her roaring great fire and left her with barely a match but what he didn't seem to realise is a warrior will always rise back
