Once in awhile

Life is so lifeless until you put a peony in a vase

Somedays its green –

The apple she saw this morning was –

Moving restlessly in her sleep till she

Quakes and vomits inside her mouth

Don’t move he said

Looking at her

She was just as picture perfect as someone could even begin to see

Don’t move

Flashes emit towards her face relentlessly

Making her shine.

Somedays its blue –

Like the blue bottle sitting on the edge of her counter

That has never even once thought to move

So,

Move is what it does not do

Instead it sits there

Like someone made it

Sit there

Memories allude inside of her pretty little head

They seek out the scary nonchalantly

This is her reality

Somedays its pink

Pink like the vase – its sits there, in the corner, of the shelf ,inside her home – she calls her box

Fortunately this vase moves

As she picks it up once in awhile

She likes to place peonies in the pink vase that moves once in awhile
