We had a free day in art class, and I was working on some sketches. They were for the comic strip of our local newspaper. Every week they feature a new strip and the artist that they pick to be featured gets 20 dollars. I understand that 20 dollars a week doesn't sound very ideal to anyone trying to make a living off of comics. But for me, it wasn't primarily about the money. Of course I would want this to be my main profession. But at the end of the day though, I just wanted to change people's lives.

It just never really made sense to me. I'm just going to do my time and when I get out I'm going to do what I feel is best for me. Because at the end of the day, it's my life. As much as I would love the support, it would not be the end of the world if they weren't on my side all the way throughout my journey. My art teacher is one of my biggest inspirations she always encourages me to bring out my creative side. She believed I could get the job done even when I don't think I can.

Time for #2
This is the second article on my review of the ideas in The Four Agreements. Here's the first article: I knew that I'd move forward with this series, but I put it off as Agreement #2 is a big stumbling block for me. I'd like to say I decided to get out of my own way and thus wrote this, but that isn't the truth. (Since Agreement #1 is to Be Impeccable with Your Word I surely need to own up to that)
