On that dreadful night, of Halloween.
The day that would come to pass.
The day light would pass upon the night,
Where the moon rises to claim her keep,
The sound of the wolves howl at dusk,
While the mourners come to weep!
All dressed in the darkest pitch black,
The attire appropriate for the time,
With subtle grunts and widows that weep,
On the grounds of word and rhyme,
For if and when, towards there and then,
That words would slowly kill,
The subtle hints of compassionate care,
Inscribed by the writers quill,
Death would come and claim his keep,
For all that was on his mind,
Things that once was, things that are, and things that will be,
All at once, he was sure to find.
The horrors that the eyes have not seen,
On the dreaded night, of Halloween...
