On longing for a broken past

Scanning through my faded memories, only to be left in fear From my dry eyes rolls too sudden down a juvenile tear

At the long-forgotten window, through which I gaze into the past, I smirk, a childish misdemeanor though another year has passed

I hold my breath while I try to listen To the past's lovely band They play the songs that I remember whose lyrics I don't understand

As I stumble loud and blindly, my heart wanders through my bones It brings me to forgotten places shows me everything I own

I hope that you don't care to find me For that, I have left before the storm I stroll the empty streets to remind me where my memories belong
