On ideas

A poem

Ideas bottle up

In the artist’s mind

On the racks

Like the best wine

Obtaining their maturity, texture

Tincture of the most vibrant colours

From the painting palette

Prepared in advance

To behold of that

Beauty in the eye

Of every common citizen

Passing through it, adding to it

Their bit of luck, perhaps

Golden Horseshoe

Or a four-leaf clover

However, nothing is as good as a kind word

Said meanwhile in someone’s ear

To be heard and never released

Without sense injected inside it

Asking to reconsider

All values left upfront

To be followed

With sacrosanct profanity

Never losing any heartbeat

Only by vigorously adapting to it

And accordingly

Changing the toughest path

Into the one in the park

Showing as much struggle as advantage

To balance this hardest way

Leaving the darkness lightened and lifted

Like a light bulb lit in the murkiest wine cellar
