On cinema
Conversations with myself
“They finally removed it today
The whole shelf with movies
There will be no more supply
What we gonna do now?”
*
“I guess we need to get back to watching TV!”
*
“After my dead body!
I will go back to the greatest
Almodóvar, Bergman, Buñuel
Dolan, Fellini, Jarman, Jarmusch
Kieślowski, Ozon, Polański, Truffaut
Varda, von Trier, Wenders
Hitchcock made movies in every genre
Horror, mystery, humour, noir
Spy and psychological thrillers
He knew best
Started with silent cinema
Schooled at the German UFA
About every correct lens
For use in his films to transpose
Every imperative imperfection
From the emotions
Glowing from the screen
No dazzling blood or other frightening gadgets
As everything happens
On an intellectual level
Whoever gets it is a master
Same as he was
You can watch his movies every time
With new eyes
Discovering the nuances
Your eyes have not seen yet
During the first screening
No need for new plot twists
They were all invented for good reason
That they are the best
The rest are just reproductions like posters
No need to melt them all over
In this artistic machine
He was overpaid for doing the right things
That have stayed for generations
Teaching us the most crucial values
Of human psyche
Who we are and where is our place
Who does not know this, will never understand
The true love of a cinemaniac
Who doesn’t need a supermarket shelf
To know what has the highest value
In the human heart
Born and bred
During a dark screening at the cinema, mate!”
