On a Starry Night

An Alien Encounter

In the quiet of the night, so still,

Beneath a sky both dark and chill,

I met a being not of Earth's domain,

An extraterrestrial, quite far from the mundane.

Its skin was shimmering, like the starry night,

With eyes that held the cosmos, pure and bright,

We stood in awe, beneath the moon's soft gleam,

Two souls from different worlds, it seemed.

I asked this stranger, "What brings you here?"

It spoke with thoughts, not words, so clear,

"We seek to learn, to understand your land,

To bridge the gaps that time and space command."

I pondered for a moment, then with a smile,

I said, "Come, let's journey for a while,

I'll show you things that Earth can offer, grand,

From mountains tall to oceans, endless sand."

We wandered through the forests, deep and green,

With creatures strange, like nothing it had seen,

I shared the beauty of a sunrise by the sea,

And the laughter of children, wild and free.

We marveled at the wonders of technology,

And shared stories of human mythology,

From ancient tales to modern dreams so vast,

I hoped these moments would forever last.

But what intrigued my extraterrestrial friend,

Was a simple act, near the day's gentle end,

I took a guitar and strummed a melody,

A universal language of harmony.

It listened with delight, its senses new,

And in return, it hummed a tune so true,

A cosmic song, from a distant star,

Our connection bridged the gap, near and far.

As the night sky turned to shades of blue,

My newfound friend bid me adieu,

With gratitude for the wonders it had seen,

It disappeared into the cosmic sheen.

Though worlds apart, our hearts entwined,

In that moment, a friendship undefined,

For in the vastness of this cosmic sea,

We found a bond that forever shall be.
