Omer 4 - devil at the crossroads

netzach of chesed

By Chaia LeviPublished about a year ago Updated about a year ago 1 min read

New skins for old souls,

new paint for old homes,

in search of an easy way

to forget the weary, tired road.

Patience and trust

done in by yours and mine hands,

rebuilt in shaky breaths,

in slow, cautious steps.

Seeking answers among

notes and bars,

guitar strings and vibrato.

Teased out snippets in

fourth dimensional warps and forks.

Synapses spark, vibrate,

kept together by the unknown in-between

undefined yet felt.

Be consciousness or soul, I know:

our souls ours to keep and mind.

Yet I stand at the intersection

during the witching hour

to witness lore and belief

which backboned this place

I tentatively call home.

But there is no devil at the crossroads.

There is only me

— alone.
