Omer 19 - Operculum

hod of tiferet

By Chaia LeviPublished about a year ago Updated about a year ago 1 min read

Each knob, worn, imperfect, marking time’s passage

and triumph of existence in hostility,

takes away from the calcified seal

which protects the soft flesh.

Armor of calcification, armor of attitude, armor of instinct.

It doesn’t matter if the water is cold or warm,

still it behaves the same;

still, it maintains the same defenses and offenses,

no matter the enemy of predators or desiccation.

It remembers.

It remembers.
