Family Photo Of Grandma Jenny (in light blue)

On any given day of the week

she would be found with one of

her patients though not walk-ins,

the supine position was more of,

her garden variety.

Treating their condition was her

mission meeting their medicinal,

spiritual, and practical needs -

from a basin of love was her

ceiling. Compassion was her

constant reply –

Ever so thankful bitterness was

not the residue in her cup,

she endured great hardship

never wearing it in stride -

nor making it a focal point;

in discipline or for show in her

countenance.

Supernaturally God healed her

straight, plucked out the crooked

arrows stuck in her craw – never

knowing the details, she kept it

close to her vest -

Sprinkled with His essence,

springing forth, encased in a

sparkly temple inside and out.

Her perkiness was her quirkiness

Never deflated always

anticipated by each and every

one she cared for - a flare with

words, fetching as a heart throb;

of all she came in contact with -

boasting not her philosophy but

excellence as a readem and weep

token of love; was a big part of

her appeal,

drawing patients into her bosom

was surreal. The eye-opening

moment,

her family was never the wiser of

OL’ LIGHT EYES;

until one day she was long gone

pulled away to the Heavenly

skies, a revelation made sure the

light in her eyes came from the

Lord above.

Yeah, He hand-picked her as the

Apple of His eye.

Bestowed unto her because of

her heart

from the start, He adorned her

with such grace

a name so fitting to crown her as

set apart, another additive to her

cup a posture few are chosen to

be called upon known to so many

as The Praying, Traveling, Nurse;

her given name in the earth was–

Virginia Cobb McMobley,

she was born May 18, 1919 and

lived until April 17, 2012

my grandma ginny that’s who

she was to us,

never knowing the legacy of

love, prayer, compassion, and

healing fruits only God and her

patients were prvy too -

confident of the labor of her

hands and heart resolute.

I had no idea of her wise tenure,

medical repertoire,

topped with a smile drawing

them in as far as the east to the

west of Ware County – A long

time resident of Waycross,

Georgia.
