I am bound to my bed as if by duty
Any movement made is lost to effort
Then I see as you enter the corner of my eye
I hold my breath hoping my eyes are dancing to the darkness
Your spiny claws begin to play with my heart
As my insides twist with fear
"Why can't I move" I shout out to nothing
I feel pricks and pins as you make your way to my face
The cheshire grin plastered back as if in pain
Meets my gaze
My heart begins to beat as if trying to take flight
This is it
I'm done
A shock blazes through my being
As good morning America plays in the background and as my alarm rings me to reality
Oh
Ok
It was just a dream

I love poetry. I love writing it and I love inhaling it. Writing is a form of therapy for me and expressing it and sharing it brings me joy. I hope you enjoy partaking in my joy. :)
