Oh, There You are
I've Been Looking For You
I am raising a glass up, to celebrate me
for the things in my heart, that no-one else sees
I've tried to be everything, others needed me be
I took out a notice, and started looking for me
it seems I was lost, though I don't recall how
when I look in the mirror, I don't recognize her now
that face looking back, looks so broken and down
not at all like the one I've been hauling around
but I can't recall the last time, I took a good look
I suppose I could let myself, off of that hook
I'll come back to get you, I said to myself
to the one I'd left sitting, all alone on that shelf
I never intended to leave you behind
never meant to be thoughtless, cruel or unkind
so, I grabbed up a flashlight, and went looking for me
to tell her I'm sorry and then, set her free

That's one way to look at one self.
I wish I can do this too! Wonderful poem!
'Tis a good thing to be able to stand by yourself & not be alone. May you never lose her again, my friend, & may the only tethers she knows be those of her own choosing.
Beautiful!
