Oh No

A sonnet about chilly desolate nights in a significant city and the steady dread of strolling alone around nighttime

The city lights sparkle out

The night echoes

The city lights dance

What's more, the night echoes

God help us

God help us

The lights go down

What's more, what's going through my psyche

The echoes of the city lights

The city lights sparkle out

The night echoes

The city lights dance

What's more, the night echoes

Good gracious

Good gracious

I get up each day and go to work

Furthermore, I'm so troubled when there's a bad dream in the city

Indeed, this kid has a Nancy Grace he might have instructed all things considered

Yet, his folks won't ever have

Enough to give their two young kids things to do

She sits like a penny and spits noticeable all around

Yet, young men, don't get to pay

He lives in the area

Furthermore, he's not living in the shadows
