Oh my mother, what can I say?
She's always been there on my darkest days
Not always knowing quite what to say or do
But reminding me that I will get through
Oh my mother, there for it all
Never far and I can always call
I’m not sure, should I call a reporter
You have to know she’s my biggest supporter!
Oh my mother, many memories made, more to be had
I’m not trying to make this sappy or sad
Not only my mother but also a friend
Knowing me best has been sort of the trend
Oh my mother, I remember before
Tons of giggles, giggle fits galore
From mispronounced words or a funny look
It’s like scenes from a comedic book
Oh my mother, I would never choose another
She's irreplaceable so don’t even bother
Smart and sassy but just when it’s right
Kind and modest, she shines so bright
Oh my mother, I couldn't thank you enough
For all you have done, at times it was rough
I appreciate you through and through
Big hugs always and much love to you!
