Oh, if only.

Beach days desperately wanted.

It began at the prelude to summer,

The sun had took its reign,

Heated days amidst gloomy skies,

With rest, hopefully, to gain,

The sound of waters splashing with the runners,

A scent of salty waters and the sound of seagulls cries,

Such times of joy and constant laughter,

The love of those who I converse with idle chatter,

Where everything I love, lies.

A thought of all that could possibly come,

With everything that has yet to be,

Not callous or cold, winters numb,

But hopeful for the days at the edge of the sea.

A hope for all I care for,

With all that is yet to be,

Not wishful thinking for something more,

But with everything I love, at the edge of the sea...
