I went for a run with a herd of deer
Ran with them till I felt no fear
But when I fell they kept running
Scraped and bloody knees
Deep within a green of trees
As they ran as if they were running from me
(This is a figurative, symbolic poem of painfully real events. Well, I like to think the majority of my poems are figurative and symbolic. Anyway, the original title of this poem was: Bloody Knees. Dated 11.09.2022. It pains me to say that not much has changed to this day. Or could it be that everything changed in that moment?)
